Laboratory testing
I often use laboratory analyses and functional tests in my clinic. Tests can help to rule out or confirm possible causes of symptoms, provide something black-and-white to relate to and possibly compare with later in the process when re-testing, and will often make us move in the right direction faster.
Some tests may be necessary to rule out causes of illness that require the involvement of other professionals, and test findings may indicate which treatment will be most effective for you. This means that the course of treatment is tailored specifically to your situation and your body.
MetabolIQ collaborates with various laboratories both in Denmark and abroad to offer the most optimal solutions. The need for tests is assessed from course to course.

GI 360
Stool sample
Stool analysis is used to assess the function of the digestive system, the balance of the intestinal flora and the immune activity of the intestine. It can be used to target personalized treatment with diet, lifestyle changes and possible supplements.
It measures, among other things:
Intestinal flora: Beneficial and potentially problematic bacteria, fungi and possible parasites
Digestive function: Digestive enzymes, fat and protein digestion
Inflammation and immune response: calprotectin, secretory IgA and others.
Intestinal environment: pH, short-chain fatty acids
Intestinal barrier: Signs of increased permeability (“leaky gut”)
Price from 3,799.00 kr

DUTCH - hormone
Urine test
An advanced urine-based hormone test used to assess hormone balance, hormone metabolism and stress response, e.g. in connection with PMS, fertility, menopause, stress regulation, sleep problems and to target treatment strategies for diet, lifestyle and possible supplements.
It measures, among other things:
Sex hormones: estrogens, progesterone, testosterone and their metabolites
Adrenal hormones: cortisol and cortisone (circadian rhythm)
Hormone metabolism and detoxification: how the body metabolizes and secretes hormones
Melatonin (sleep rhythm) and organic acids related to neurotransmitters
Price from 3,199.00 kr

DNA Core
Blood test by finger prick
A genetic test used to uncover genetic variations (SNPs) that affect the body's biochemical processes and individual needs and vulnerabilities, e.g. why people respond differently to diet, lifestyle and supplements. Can help guide the choice of optimal nutrition, exercise, etc.
It measures, among other things, genes related to:
Detoxification (e.g. liver enzymes and phase 1/2 processes)
Inflammation and immune response
Methylation and B vitamin metabolism
Hormone metabolism
Energy metabolism and mitochondrial function
Stress response and neurotransmitters
Price 2,450.00 kr

OAT
Urine test
A urine-based test that provides broad insight into the body's metabolism, gut microbiota, energy production and detoxification capacity. Can be used to identify imbalances and assess nutrient deficiencies, and can provide insight into the cause of e.g. brain fog, mood swings and digestive problems. Supports individual based treatment in relation to diet, lifestyle and supplements.
It measures, among other things:
Organic acids related to energy metabolism and mitochondrial function
Gut microbial metabolites (signs of dysbiosis, fungal or bacterial overgrowth)
Nutrient status (especially B vitamins, amino acids, and antioxidants)
Neurotransmitter-related markers
Oxidative stress and detoxification
Price from DKK 2,695.00

Cardiovascular risk profile
Blood test / finger prick
An expanded blood-based assessment used to identify early risk factors for cardiovascular disease and atherosclerosis before clinical disease occurs. Furthermore, to assess inflammation, insulin resistance and metabolic disease, and can be used to support prevention through diet, lifestyle, regulation, etc.
It measures, among other things:
Lipid profile: total cholesterol, LDL, HDL, triglycerides (often supplemented with particle size)
Inflammation: hs-CRP and possibly other inflammation markers
Blood sugar regulation: glucose, insulin, HbA1c
Vascular and endothelial function
Oxidative stress and possibly homocysteine
Price from 1,899.00 kr
Miscellaneous
At Metaboliq, we use many different tests, and what is chosen is based on the individual client.
The tests described are some of the most commonly used, but we have the opportunity to test very widely through partners, and can also test for, among other things:
Heavy metals
Metabolism
Food allergies
Antibodies associated with autoimmune diseases
Mold impact
Common measurements such as blood sugar, red and white blood cells, liver and kidney counts, vitamin D, etc.
Some tests can be done through your own doctor, and the results of them will of course also be included in a treatment plan.
